Metro's Speech Department is growing and seeking a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist for our outpatient clinic in Center Moriches, New York. This position provides 2 days per week of clinical work, ideal for clinicians seeking schedule flexibility.
You will work with a comprehensive caseload including patients with Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, School-Age communication disorders, Voice disorders, Cognitive Communication Disorders, and AAC users. Our strategic partnership with NYU Langone supports ongoing clinic expansion and development.
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and forward-thinking Speech Therapist who demonstrates excellence in assessing patient needs and developing creative, effective treatment approaches. The successful candidate is a flexible team player excited by emerging opportunities.
Perform thorough evaluations of patients' speech therapy requirements and establish appropriate treatment plans. Deliver quality care consistent with physician care plans, agency policies, and professional care standards. Provide instruction to family members, Home Health Aides, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
Must hold licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State or be eligible for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required. Current First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications from live courses are mandatory.
