Open Roles
Northwestern Memorial Healthcare offers an exceptional one-year paid post-professional Occupational Therapy Fellowship in Acute and Critical Care at our Chicago location. This unique opportunity is designed to develop leaders and specialists in acute and critical care occupational therapy through comprehensive patient care, mentored hours, and didactic learning experiences.
Eligibility Requirements: Only candidates with completion of OT school are eligible to apply. This fellowship is ideal for recent graduates or early-career occupational therapists seeking specialized training in acute and critical care settings.
Program Structure: The fellowship consists of three core components: direct patient care in acute and critical care environments, mentored hours with experienced OT specialists, and didactic hours where fellows complete a comprehensive curriculum and participate in experiential learning activities. This balanced approach ensures both clinical skill development and theoretical knowledge advancement.
Application Requirements: Candidates must submit a resume, written personal statement (500 words or less) describing interest in the fellowship and long-term professional goals, and two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a clinical instructor from an acute care rotation or supervisor from previous acute care employment, and one from a professor. Candidates more than 2 years out of school should submit a second letter from an OT employer.
Professional Development: This fellowship provides unparalleled opportunities to develop expertise in acute and critical care occupational therapy while building leadership skills. Click our website to learn more about this transformative career opportunity at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
