Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hematology/Oncology team. This full-time, days position offers the chance to provide advanced clinical care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
Monday through Friday daytime hours with call requirements including early morning and late PM infusion coverage on a rotating basis. This schedule provides work-life balance while ensuring comprehensive patient care coverage.
Demonstrate clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities including diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems. You will be responsible for health outcomes of an assigned patient population, conferring with collaborating physicians and other health professionals. Develop appropriate educational systems for patients, families, and staff while mentoring graduate students.
Conduct comprehensive health status appraisals, perform physical examinations, provide direct clinical care, and prescribe medications and therapies. Order and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, and procedures according to clinical privileges. Evaluate patients to determine need for further healthcare and provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families.
Active NP or PA license required. Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred.
