The MRI Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Schedule is Days 7am-3:30pm with every other weekend and holidays on-call (not all in holiday rotation).
Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care. Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring as applicable.
Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards. Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges. Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness. Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes. Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy. Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
MRI Technologist certification required. ARRT registration and state licensure as applicable. Experience in MRI imaging essential.
