Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. This full-time position supports daily clinical operations including patient rooming, meter uploads, A1C testing, and general clinical workflow in a specialized diabetes and endocrine care setting.
Clinic Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, offering excellent work-life balance with no weekends or holidays required.
Team Collaboration: The MA works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team consisting of physicians, Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs), nurses, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care for individuals with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
Key Responsibilities: You will play a vital role in patient preparation, coordination, and ongoing support for diabetes and endocrine management. This includes escorting patients to exam rooms, identifying patients with two identifiers, preparing patients for examinations, and maintaining efficient patient flow through the clinic.
