AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineer based in Orange, California to join our dynamic team supporting exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities: You will work independently and make technical decisions based on building code interpretation as well as company, client, and industry standard practices. The role includes mentoring and teaching junior engineers as part of your career growth within our Building+ Places group. You will perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
Technical Duties: Lead the preparation of deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for HVAC systems in commercial, governmental, and institutional facilities. You will exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids. Lead the mechanical design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial and institutional facilities.
Qualifications: Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software (AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace) is required. You will work independently as well as guide junior engineers as needed on projects. Deliver complete, accurate, and coordinated project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contractual obligations. Perform field investigations for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents.
