Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team in Chicago, IL. This full-time day shift position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while working with advanced imaging technology in a leading healthcare facility.
About the Role: The Mammography Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. You will provide mammography and DEXA imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients.
Key Responsibilities: You will maintain accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care. Your duties include producing diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards, applying professional judgment to optimize image quality, and reviewing images prior to exam completion.
Technical Duties: You will administer contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring. Operating imaging equipment and maintaining imaging room readiness are essential. You will identify equipment performance issues and coordinate exam flow while prioritizing time-sensitive studies.
Sign-On Bonus: We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus to full-time external Mammography Technologists hired at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, payable in one installment following the start date with 12-month repayment terms.
