Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist (Certification Pending) to join our team in Chicago, IL. This full-time day shift position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care while working with cutting-edge imaging technology.
About the Role: As a Mammography Technologist, you will assist in performing digital mammography exams under the supervision of a certified mammography technologist. You will be accountable for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care. Your role involves producing diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards while applying professional judgment to optimize image quality.
Key Responsibilities: You will review images prior to exam completion and initiate corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met. Operating imaging equipment and maintaining imaging room readiness are essential duties. You will coordinate exam flow, prioritize time-sensitive studies, and assist with patient positioning, lifting, and transport as needed.
Sign-On Bonus: We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus to full-time external Mammography Technologists hired at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. This bonus is payable in one installment following the new employee's start date with 12-month repayment terms associated.
