The M&E Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems within a facility to ensure uninterrupted, safe, and efficient building operations. This position is based in Kulim, Malaysia.
You will operate and maintain HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, MAH/RAH, and GAH. The role involves maintaining pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and plumbing systems. You will perform preventive maintenance as per schedules and attend mechanical breakdowns to restore systems quickly.
Maintain LT panels, MCC panels, UPS, and DG sets. Monitor power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems. Carry out electrical fault finding and corrective maintenance. Ensure earthing, panel safety, and load balance are maintained at all times.
Conduct routine inspections and record parameters. Ensure fire and life safety systems are functional. Support statutory compliance and audits. Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for specialized maintenance and repairs.
Candidates should possess technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, experience with HVAC and electrical maintenance, and understanding of safety protocols. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
