Essential Duties & Responsibilities We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Management Intern to join our Consumer Solutions (Retail) team, supporting the USB Flash Drive and External SSD product portfolio. This internship offers hands-on experience in hardware product management and software-enabled consumer storage solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Software Engineering, and Operations—to help define, develop, test, and launch retail storage products used by consumers worldwide. Key Responsibilities Support product lifecycle management for USB Flash Drive and External SSD retail products—from concept and definition through launch and end-of-life. Assist with drafting, reviewing, and refining Product Requirements Documents (PRDs). Help define and validate end-user use cases, including how software applications interact with hardware products. Assist in testing and validating software applications on hardware products to ensure functionality, usability, and performance. Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and customer trend analysis to inform roadmap and feature decisions. Prepare project status updates, sales performance summaries, and executive presentations. Act as a product advocate, supporting internal teams with product, market, and technical insights. Assist with business planning activities, including cost modeling and basic profit & loss analysis. Contribute to product positioning, value proposition development, and differentiation strategies for retail channels. Track new product schedules, milestones, and launch timelines. Research emerging storage technologies, interfaces (USB, NVMe), software tools, and ecosystem trends to help shape future product direction. Support roadmap management and stakeholder communication, including internal alignment across teams.
Required: Current student pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong interest in consumer technology, storage products, and hardware-software systems. Experience or coursework involving the use of software applications on hardware products, including testing, validation, or troubleshooting. Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Technical or engineering coursework and/or hands-on project experience is highly desirable. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights. Exposure to retail products or consumer electronics is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
