The Instrumentation Technician oversees the daily operation of campus systems, utilities, and process equipment. This role utilizes the site Building Management System (BMS) to ensure systems are operated within design parameters in the most energy-efficient manner. The Instrumentation Technician manages outside BMS contract service providers, assists in controls troubleshooting, and takes appropriate actions to protect equipment and personnel when systems are not functioning properly.
This position requires a high level of technical expertise with a variety of building and process systems. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with BMS platforms, and knowledge of automation and control systems. Availability for on-call work is required.
