Information Specialist - JLL What this job involves: As an Information Specialist at JLL, you'll serve as a vital connector between people and the information they need to make informed business decisions. In this role, you'll manage and curate knowledge assets, ensuring that critical information flows seamlessly across teams and projects. You'll collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand their information needs, then develop and maintain systems that make data accessible, accurate, and actionable. You'll be responsible for maintaining information repositories, conducting research to support business initiatives, and training colleagues on best practices for information management. This position requires someone who can balance attention to detail with strategic thinking, translating complex data into clear insights that drive decision-making. What your day-to-day will look like: Manage and maintain centralized information repositories, databases, and knowledge management systems to ensure data accuracy and accessibility Conduct research and analysis in response to information requests from internal stakeholders, delivering insights that support strategic business decisions Develop and implement information classification systems, metadata standards, and taxonomies that make content easily discoverable Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify information gaps and develop solutions that improve knowledge sharing across the organization Create and deliver training materials and workshops that empower colleagues to effectively find, use, and contribute to shared information resources Monitor information trends and user behavior to continuously improve search functionality and content organization Support compliance efforts by ensuring information is properly categorized, retained, and disposed of according to regulatory requirements Evaluate and recommend new information management tools and technologies that enhance operational efficiency Required qualifications: 3+ years of experience in information management, knowledge management, or a similar role Proficiency with information management systems, databases, and content management platforms Strong research skills with the ability to locate, evaluate, and synthesize information from multiple sources Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when managing large volumes of data and documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information concepts to non-technical audiences Experience developing taxonomies, metadata schemas, and information architectures Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or other enterprise content management systems Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques for presenting information insights Certification in information or knowledge management (CKM, CIP, or similar) Experience with business intelligence tools and data analytics platforms Location : South San Francisco, CA This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position: 89,000.00 – 90,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
