The Registered Nurse Inpatient position at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's Delnor Cardiac/Telemetry unit offers an opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This PRN/As Needed position operates on a night shift schedule from 7pm to 7:30am.
This position requires a minimum commitment of four 12-hour shifts within a six-week scheduling period, offering flexibility for nursing professionals seeking part-time opportunities while maintaining clinical skills.
As a clinically competent registered professional nurse, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients through the comprehensive nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will effectively interact with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
Your responsibilities include collecting and analyzing patient data, identifying expected outcomes, developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery, and evaluating progress toward goal attainment. You will direct care activities and determine appropriate utilization of nursing assistants involved in direct patient care.
This role requires collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff. You will create documented care plans focused on outcomes, participate in shared governance and committee work, and evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
