HP Indigo Technical Training Specialist Description - Technical Training Specialist Location: Alpharetta, GA Travel: Approximately 35% The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality technical training on HP Indigo digital press solutions, with a primary focus on DFE (Digital Front End) workflows and operator training . This role requires strong, hands-on experience in print production and pre-press workflows , including the ability to apply that knowledge in real-world customer environments. The ideal candidate is a disciplined, customer-focused professional who can translate production and pre-press expertise into effective, engaging training. This position demands a high level of accountability, preparation, and professionalism , along with the ability to confidently lead both remote and in-person training environments Key Responsibilities Deliver DFE (Digital Front End) training remotely , specifically on PrintOS HP SmartStream Production Pro Print Server . Deliver HP Indigo operator training at the Alpharetta Training Center and at customer sites. Instruct customers on pre-press workflows , file preparation, color management, and production best practices. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials and course content. Adapt training delivery to meet varying customer skill levels and production environments. Partner with global training, service, and workflow teams to ensure alignment and consistency. Provide feedback to enhance curriculum, tools, and overall training effectiveness. Required Skills and Experience Proven, hands-on experience in printing and pre-press workflows. Experience with Commercial and/or Labels & Packaging pre-press environments . Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) . Solid understanding of DFE workflows, file preparation, and color management principles . Experience with or ability to quickly learn PrintOS HP SmartStream Production Pro Print Server . Ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world customer production scenarios . Excellent presentation and communication skills , with the ability to clearly and confidently convey complex topics. Professional, articulate, and approachable presence in customer-facing environments. Demonstrated discipline, punctuality, and strong personal accountability . High level of patience and adaptability when working with diverse skill levels. Ability to deliver engaging training in both remote and in-person settings . Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a highly engaged, close-knit team environment. Demonstrated experience working in a production print or pre-press environment is strongly preferred. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with HP Indigo digital presses or similar digital print technologies. Prior experience in technical training, field support, or customer-facing roles . The pay range for this role is $73,800 to $113,650 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
