The Health Unit Coordinator at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's Delnor Cardiac/Telemetry unit is a vital team member responsible for performing reception, clerical, medical record, and patient registration functions. You will manage overall unit workflow in concert with the charge RN and/or assistant manager, setting priorities and handling emergency situations with a calm, professional demeanor. Your role serves as a liaison between patient care units and all patient-related departments.
Present a friendly, approachable, professional appearance while providing accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers. You'll address questions and concerns promptly, providing directions and assistance to patients and visitors navigating the facility.
Use effective service recovery skills to solve problems or address service breakdowns when they occur. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse staff members, patients, and families is essential to success in this role.
