Under general supervision, the Finance High School Intern provides administrative support to the accounting team. This internship offers an excellent introduction to finance and accounting operations for high school students interested in business careers.
Interns will assist with maintenance of financial records, including data entry and compiling reports. The role includes processing purchase orders, check requisitions, employee requests, sales reports, and other forms. Interns may also assist with employee reimbursement, processing payments, and accounting operations projects.
The position involves performing various administrative functions including faxing, copying, filing, and scheduling meeting rooms and equipment. These tasks provide valuable exposure to professional office environments and business operations.
Interns will learn to adhere to the Company's Quality Management System as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. The role includes understanding relevant security, privacy, and compliance principles applicable to the organization.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in high school with 1+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills are essential, along with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office tools is preferred. This internship provides an excellent foundation for students considering finance or accounting careers.
