Open Roles
AECOM is currently entering an early stage of recruitment for strategic leadership within our corporate function. We are seeking to connect with high-caliber professionals to discuss this upcoming opportunity. Please note that as our project portfolio and internal requirements evolve, the specific details, scope, and responsibilities of this role may be subject to refinement.
AECOM is looking to identify a highly seasoned Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of major infrastructure and development programmes across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This is a strategic leadership role focused on high-value commercial management, complex contract interpretation, and the forensic preparation and negotiation of project variations and claims.
The ideal candidate will bring their industry expertise, primarily from an engineering consultancy environment, with the authority to articulate complex contractual positions to both internal executive leadership and external public-sector stakeholders.
As this role is in a formative stage, responsibilities may be adjusted to align with business needs. Strategic Claims Leadership: Lead the end-to-end preparation, substantiation, and negotiation of complex project variations and claims for major infrastructure works. Consultancy Scope Management: Provide definitive guidance on consultancy contract boundaries, distinguishing between base scope and Additional Services arising from client requests or project changes.
Stakeholder Management: Represent AECOM in high-level commercial negotiations with public-sector clients and external stakeholders. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop commercial management capabilities within the regional team. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks across project portfolios.
Degree in Engineering, Law, or Commercial Management required. Extensive experience in commercial management within engineering consultancy essential. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills required. Experience with Hong Kong and GBA infrastructure projects highly desirable.
