About the Role
As Employment Counsel for the Americas region, you will provide advice and strategic counseling to the People Organization and business leaders across multiple business units on a full range of employment issues. This role also manages administrative and potential agency and legal claims against the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counseling on recruiting, hiring, organizational design, terminations, wage and hour issues
- Advise on executive compensation, benefits, policies and procedures
- Handle diversity and inclusion programming, employee classification, and contingent workforce issues
- Ensure compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations
- Counsel on risk mitigation for employee relations and investigations
- Draft employment-related agreements including contracts, confidentiality agreements, non-competes
- Advise on internal investigations and track industry trends
- Supervise and evaluate outside counsel on employment matters
- Educate clients and stakeholders on employment law matters
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong legal expertise in employment law, excellent judgment in handling complex matters, and the ability to work independently while recognizing when to escalate issues. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders.
