We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team supporting data center power systems. This direct hire position is Ohio-based with 75%+ travel and offers a competitive salary up to $105,000 depending on experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working independently in the field, and being part of a collaborative team. You will represent the company onsite, ensuring systems perform reliably while building strong customer relationships through professionalism and follow-through. The position supports installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of mission-critical power distribution equipment in data center environments.
You will perform installation and assist with startup of power distribution equipment in data centers, participating in commissioning activities including system validation and functional testing. The role involves configuring, testing, and troubleshooting HMIs and control systems while ensuring all work meets applicable electrical codes and safety standards. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to 3-phase electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, and high-voltage equipment, analyzing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line drawings. Conducting structured root-cause analysis in active, mission-critical environments is essential. You will act as the primary technical representative at customer sites and coordinate with engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and field service operations. Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical schematics, and excellent customer interaction abilities are required.
