We're looking for an Electric Utility Distribution Electrician/Lineman at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Site 300 located in Tracy, California. You will perform a variety of specialized journey-level electrical functions including maintenance, operations, installation, repair, replacement, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities on medium-voltage and high-voltage electric utility systems and equipment. This position is in the Electric Utility Division of the Infrastructure Maintenance & Utilities Department.
You will perform journey-level electrical work including maintenance, switching operations, installation, repair, replacement, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning work on overhead pole-lines, transformers, switches, and other electrical equipment used in overhead distribution of electric power at 15kV and 115kV voltage levels. You will work with other craft personnel and provide technical guidance, deliver effective customer service, and prepare reports including preventative maintenance requests, deficiency reports, and work orders using a personal computer.
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, plus completion of apprenticeship program in the electrician trade or equivalent experience. This position requires full-time on-site presence.
