AECOM is seeking a motivated Deputy Design Manager to support colocation and hyperscale data center projects from site due diligence and campus planning through design, construction documents, and construction administration. The ideal candidate has experience supporting project and design managers on data center projects within an A/E environment.
This role supports coordination, documentation, and delivery of complex data center projects, with the expectation of increasing independence and the ability to serve as backup Design Manager. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the US where AECOM has an office.
Although the position is primarily remote, periodic travel may be required for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities. Travel is expected to be occasional and scheduled in advance.

Support the Design Manager in daily project coordination activities across disciplines. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes, track action items, and ensure follow-through. Assist in managing design schedules, deliverables, and quality control processes. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Support document management and organization of project records. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the global data center team.
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field required. Experience in data center design or construction essential. Strong coordination and communication skills required. A/E firm experience highly desirable.
