The Dealership Controller at Toyota of Santa Fe is a key executive position responsible for the dealership's overall financial management and office workflow. This role requires sound judgment to make independent discretionary decisions regarding financial operations and accounting policies.
As Controller, you will partner with the dealership General Manager and work under the direction of the Regional Controller to implement and carry out accounting policies and procedures. You will implement controls to ensure compliance with company policies and direct office staff to ensure timely completion and accuracy of all assigned tasks.
You will provide support to all departments to produce increased revenue, control expenses, and contribute to customer and associate satisfaction. Ensuring that accounting records are maintained in an orderly, current, and accurate condition at all times is essential. You will ensure all company policies are communicated and followed while maintaining internal controls for compliance.
Recruiting, supervising, and developing dealership office personnel is a critical function. You will audit balance sheets and schedules regularly, addressing any possible problems while keeping the Regional Controller informed of issues and potential liabilities. Assisting operations with dealership forecasting and budgeting, ensuring timely completion of financial statements, monthly work papers and reports, and preparing reconciliation of all deals are core responsibilities.
This position requires strong accounting knowledge, leadership abilities, and the capacity to exercise independent judgment. Experience in automotive dealership accounting is highly valued.
