Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dedicated CT Scan Technologist to join our team in McHenry, IL on a casual basis with variable shifts. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized computed tomography imaging services in a professional healthcare environment.
Schedule Details: This position requires on-call duty every 4th-5th weekend with 24-hour call shifts on Saturday or Sunday. Weekend shifts are not required but available. One holiday rotation per year is required. Variable shifts with a minimum of 5 shifts per month.
About the Role: The CT Scan Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. You will provide computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients.
Key Responsibilities: You will position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately while utilizing ALARA principles during examinations. Implementing radiation protection and safety standards is essential. You will prepare for and assist physicians in computed tomography procedures, including interventional procedures.
Technical Duties: Performing reconstruction of CT images and preparing/administering contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations are key responsibilities.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program, ARRT Certification, ARRT certification in CT within one year of hire, CPR-Basic Life Support, and Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure are required.
