We’re seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a major pharmaceutical construction project. You will act as the Owner’s Representative, driving construction execution across design, procurement, safety, quality, cost, schedule, commissioning and close-out. Pre‑Construction Support project stage gate reviews and budgeting. Coordinate schedules, estimates, design activities and constructability reviews. Assist with contract negotiations and permitting. Drive value engineering and manage early scope gaps/changes. Construction Lead contractor and vendor management on-site. Oversee change control, cost reviews and schedule reporting. Ensure strong document control, QA/QC processes, and issue resolution. Provide early warnings on budget, schedule and risk. Commissioning Act as key liaison between commissioning teams, contractors, and owner stakeholders. Close-Out Initiate and manage project close-out, snag lists and documentation. Finalise change orders, quality issues, invoices, warranties and O&M materials. Support final project accounting. Health, Safety & Wellbeing Champion HSE standards, compliance and company safety initiatives. People Mentor team members and maintain your own professional development.
A degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline. Proven professional experience in the relevant fields, including strong expertise in pharmaceutical/semi-conductor construction. Experience in leading or co‑managing complex large‑scale projects and programmes. Extensive knowledge of modern leadership practices, paired with excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, as well as a balance of assertiveness and empathy. Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken. Confident use of MS Office applications and spreadsheet tools.
