We are seeking a skilled CNC Fabrication Operator to join our team in York, PA. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art CNC equipment in structural steel fabrication, contributing to high-quality production in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
You will set up and run CNC equipment including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines for structural steel processing. The role requires interpreting blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders to understand job requirements accurately. You will safely load and position materials such as steel beams and plates using overhead cranes and rigging equipment while monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and precision. Daily duties include verifying dimensions and tolerances using precision tools, making minor program edits based on material specifications, and performing routine preventative maintenance. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area in line with OSHA standards is essential.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with trade or technical training considered a plus. Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing is necessary. You must be able to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and blueprints, with proficiency in precision measuring tools. Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment is preferred.
