We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Cocoa Beach, FL. This contract-to-hire position offers competitive pay up to $27.00 per hour depending on experience, with opportunities for long-term employment.
You will set up and adjust CNC machines to ensure efficient and accurate production operations. Daily duties include verifying material dimensions and specifications prior to processing, selecting appropriate materials including correct type, size, and stock, and marking or transferring layout and design data onto raw materials as needed. You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while documenting daily production output and tracking material usage accurately. The role also involves performing routine machine maintenance and assisting with troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Candidates must have experience operating CNC plasma tables or similar cutting equipment such as sawing, drilling, or cutting machinery. You should be able to accurately read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch and possess basic math skills for measurements and calculations. The position requires ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and comfort working in varying temperature conditions. Experience with overhead cranes and material handling systems is essential.
Experience with Kinetic Plasma tables, Peddinghaus Saw/Drill lines, Peddinghaus Angle Masters, or Ficep Beamlines is highly valued. Ability to read and interpret blueprints including symbols and technical notation is preferred.
