The Clinical Nurse Educator is a vital member of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's nursing team, serving as an educator, consultant, role model, and leader. This position is dedicated to elevating the standard of professional nursing practice through comprehensive educational program design and implementation.
You will develop, coordinate, and administer onboarding and competency programs for new and existing staff. This includes creating evidence-based educational strategies, facilitating professional development initiatives, and evaluating training effectiveness. Working collaboratively with nursing leadership, peers, and the NM Academy, you will design educational offerings that improve clinical care and organizational outcomes.
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will coach and mentor staff to become expert clinicians and leaders. You'll conduct competency evaluations, develop initial training programs, and coordinate practice-level annual assessments. Your role involves consulting with various stakeholders to identify educational needs and implement appropriate solutions.
This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse with strong educational and leadership capabilities. You should demonstrate expertise in adult education principles, curriculum development, and clinical practice. Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills are essential for success in this role.
