Stanford Medicine Children's Health is seeking a Clinical Dietitian II to join our nutrition services team in Palo Alto, CA. This relief position works closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide patient care that is integrated and compatible with patient-focused medical goals and objectives.
The Clinical Dietitian II applies the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including completion of nutrition assessment, determination of nutrition diagnosis, development and implementation of nutrition interventions, and monitoring and evaluation of patient progress. You will use the Scope of Dietetics Practice Framework (SODPF) to determine scope of practice.
You will follow established Standards of Practice and Professional Performance (SOP/SOPP) in nutrition care and practice-specific dietetics. As available, you will utilize evidence-based practice protocols and nutrition practice guidelines to help determine nutrition interventions.
Clinical Dietitians II function independently at the competent to proficient level on pediatric and obstetric units/clinics, including more complex patient types such as intensive care units and pediatric gastroenterology specialty clinics. You will serve as a role model, resource, and leader for Level I dietitians.
Must perform all duties in accordance with hospital policies and Joint Commission Requirements including cultural diversity sensitivity, patient care standards, safety protocols, and ongoing education participation.
