The Clinical Coordinator in General Medicine 15W at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is an experienced Registered Nurse who provides direct patient care while facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, patient flow, staffing, and resource utilization. This full-time day position combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities.
You will facilitate unit operations on a shift basis according to policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements. Your coordination of unit-based staffing assignments ensures high-quality, cost-effective care delivery throughout your shift.
Direct patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel while championing new initiatives and participating in unit, departmental, or hospital-wide committees and task forces. Your leadership drives continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
Provide direct patient care including ongoing assessment of biopsychosocial and learning needs. Implement appropriate actions to respond to patient needs and monitor responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress toward goals.
Assure safety and security of patients, significant others, and staff. Implement action plans to provide safe, quality, and efficient care while communicating directly with patients and families about nursing care.
