Northwestern Medicine seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Clinical Coordinator for our General Medicine 13W unit. This full-time night shift position combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities for interdisciplinary coordination, staffing, and resource management.
Facilitate unit operations on a shift basis according to policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate unit-based staffing assignments to achieve high-quality, cost-effective care. Direct patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel for specific shifts while championing new initiatives and participating in hospital-wide committees.
Communicate directly with patients and significant others about nursing care, implementing appropriate action plans for safe, quality, and efficient care delivery. Assure safety and security of patients, significant others, and staff while providing direct patient care and ongoing assessment of biopsychosocial and learning needs.
Implement appropriate actions to respond to patient needs, monitor and document patient responses to therapeutic interventions, and track progress toward care goals. This role requires strong clinical expertise combined with leadership capabilities.
Active RN license required with significant clinical experience. Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
