Supply Chain & Industry Market Analytics (SIMA) is a team of analysts conducting in-depth analysis on GfK sell-out data and triangulating it with external data points to explain and anticipate developments in the technology-device marketplace. The mission is to leverage GfK sell-out data to deliver timely, primary, and incremental research to component suppliers and branded vendors globally. The team delivers value by providing relevant forecast and analytical support to decision makers, valuing ingenuity, simplicity, and dedication to team objectives.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for sales with Japanese clients, with key targets being supply chain vendors such as component vendors, materials suppliers, and foundries based in Japan. Success in this role requires proper pipeline management, effective communication with a robust understanding of data and analytics, and strong negotiation skills. Typically, this role opens doors at prospects and builds relationships together with the analyst team. The role is also expected to input client needs into the analyst team to improve and develop new products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, selling, and closing 5-6 figure annual subscriptions. This involves identifying potential clients, building relationships, and managing the entire sales pipeline from initial contact through contract closure. The role requires collaboration with analyst teams to ensure client needs are understood and incorporated into product development.
We seek a results-driven professional with strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, and the ability to understand complex data and analytics offerings. Experience in supply chain or technology sectors is highly valued.
