We are seeking a dedicated Bed Assignment Coordinator to join our Transfer Center team on night shift. This critical role ensures efficient patient flow and optimal bed utilization across our entire health system.
You will coordinate bed assignments for patients being admitted to the hospital, track patients awaiting admission, facilitate patient admissions and transfers, and communicate with nursing units, emergency departments, and external facilities. This role requires strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.
24 hours per week, night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Schedule includes holidays (every third), weekends (every third), and Monday through Friday coverage. The hiring range is $20.94 - $33.59 per hour. This position is covered by the SHARE union and may be eligible for a signing bonus.
Candidates should have healthcare experience, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. Experience with patient flow, bed management, or transfer center operations is highly valued.
