Western Digital is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Data Administrator in San Jose, CA. This role requires strong expertise in Cloud Infrastructure, Data Lakehouse architecture, Data Governance, and Generative AI platforms to design, implement, and manage scalable AWS environments.
You will design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation (Infrastructure as Code). The role involves building and managing enterprise Data Lakehouse architectures using Amazon S3 (including S3 Tables) and Apache Iceberg while implementing centralized data governance and fine-grained access control using AWS Lake Formation.
You will enable secure cross-account data sharing and metadata management, deploy and optimize Trino for distributed SQL analytics, and administer Amazon RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and Amazon Redshift clusters including WLM, query tuning, and HA/DR.
The role includes implementing serverless automation using AWS Lambda and supporting CI/CD pipelines. You will design secure VPC architectures, enforce IAM least-privilege access models, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch.
You will support enterprise Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, enabling cutting-edge AI capabilities for the organization.
