Receive repair orders from dispatchers and perform work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards. Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain needed components. Save and tag parts for warranty claims or customer requests. Examine vehicles to identify additional safety or service work required, notifying service advisors immediately of any concerns or timeline issues.
Document all work performed thoroughly. Road-test vehicles when required, maintaining professional standards by not using customer vehicles for personal errands. Supervise apprentice technicians assigned to you, providing guidance and mentorship. Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep current with factory technical bulletins to maintain cutting-edge knowledge.
Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean throughout service. Maintain a neat, clean shop area and account for all dealership-owned tools at all times. Understand and follow all federal, state, and local regulations including those governing hazardous waste disposal and environmental compliance.
Must be authorized to work in the USA, possess a valid driver's license with good driving record, and pass pre-employment testing including background checks and drug screening.
