The Automotive Salesperson position at Mountain States Toyota, part of Sonic Automotive, is responsible for selling vehicles and meeting dealership standards for gross profit, sales volume, and customer satisfaction. This comprehensive role encompasses four broad areas of activity: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up.
As a Sales Professional, you will recognize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote yourself to guaranteeing satisfaction for every customer. Determining each customer's vehicle needs by asking thoughtful questions and active listening ensures appropriate recommendations.
Demonstrating vehicles including conducting test drives showcases features and benefits to customers. The delivery process ensures customers understand their vehicle's operating features, warranty coverage, and all paperwork, laying the foundation for long-term customer loyalty.
You will establish personal income goals consistent with dealership productivity standards and devise strategies to meet those goals. Reporting to the Vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses keeps leadership informed of your progress.
Keeping abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, and how they benefit customers demonstrates product expertise. Working with the service department and body shop ensures vehicles are reconditioned as expected and on schedule. Attending sales meetings and training offered by both the dealership and manufacturer enhances your capabilities.
Maintaining a prospect development system and an owner follow-up system encourages repeat and referral business. Reviewing and analyzing your actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year helps determine how to better utilize time and improve planning effectiveness.
